Taco Mac and Cheese

Tacos and mac and cheese—what’s not to love!  This is my sons’ all-time favorite and most requested recipe.  Both boys asked for it when they had all four wisdom teeth removed.  This dish also won first place in a parent bake-off at Mount Union University for the student dining hall. Your family is gonna love this dish!

1 lb. ground beef

1 packet taco seasoning

1 cup sour cream

1 package mac and cheese (Kraft, your favorite or homemade)

1 cup or more shredded cheddar cheese

Brown ground beef and drain.  Add taco seasoning according to packet and cook until done.  Spoon into greased 9 x 9 square casserole dish (9 x 13 if doubling recipe).  Spread sour cream on top of beef.  Prepare mac and cheese according to package and spoon on top of sour cream.  Sprinkle cheddar cheese on top.  Cover dish with foil.  Bake at 350 for 45 minutes.  Cut into big squares for serving.  Enjoy!
