Super Speedy Sausage Supper

I am not kidding when I tell you this is one super speedy supper, and it is sooooo good!  I love the flavor of pineapple, and what could be easier than using a package of already cooked smoked sausage or kielbasa?  The butter and brown sugar make a sweet sauce that coats the sausage and pineapple with a wonderful Hawaiian kind of flair.  Only using four ingredients, this dish is perfect for a super quick evening dinner after a long day at work or play.  Serve over rice if you like or just plain as the entree with other sides.  You can also add in veggies such as pea pods or carrots to make a complete meal in one pan for super speedy clean-up too!!

1 package smoked sausage or kielbasa, your choice

1 can pineapple tidbits, large or small can depending on how much you like

1/2 stick butter (1/4 cup)

1 cup brown sugar, packed

In a large skillet melt butter until just bubbly. Add sausage to skillet and allow to brown, approx. 4 minutes. Using spatula flip sausage over and add in can of pineapple.

Continue to cook over medium heat, flipping sausage and pineapple to coat with butter and cook pineapple and sausage until pineapple is golden in color and soft. (This is where you would add in veggies if desired and cook until they reach your choice of softness or crunch)

Add the brown sugar and continue to flip and stir to coat all and brown sugar is mixed with butter to make sauce.  Continue to cook to reduce sauce to one half and it becomes a syrup to coat pineapple and sausage.  Stir again before serving to coat all.  Enjoy!!
