Crock Pot Brown Sugar Garlic Chicken
This chicken is very mild, flavorful and sweet. You can always spice it up if you wish by adding in some red pepper flakes or chilies if you have them. Great to throw in your crock pot at lunchtime and have an easy dinner by 5:00. Chop some veggies for tacos and you’re all set. You can also serve on buns for a delicious sandwich!
5-6 boneless chicken breasts
1 cup brown sugar
2/3 cup vinegar
¼ cup lemon lime soda, like Sierra Mist or Sprite
2 T. minced garlic
2 T. soy sauce
2 T. corn starch
Pepper
Combine all ingredients except chicken in well-sprayed crock pot and whisk together until thoroughly mixed and all corn starch lumps are gone. Add chicken breasts to sauce in crock pot. Cover, and cook on low heat for 6-7 hours or on high for 4 hours. Remove chicken and shred. Put shredded chicken back in sauce on warm setting or low for another 20 minutes. Serve over rice or in taco shells. Enjoy!
